About The Event
The GBR Class Committee is pleased to announce that the 2020 Noble Marine UK MUSTO Skiff National Championships is now confirmed for September 3 – 6, at Brixham Yacht Club (BYC).
To keep the event as safe as possible for both sailors and club volunteers, we are taking the UK Government restrictions, RYA guidelines and BYC’s COVID-19 risk planning into consideration at every level. This may result in some changes, such as racing in flights, limited social activities, and a capped entry number. It also means that the event may be subject to cancellation should the COVID-19 situation change – but we very much hope that this will not be the case.
We will continue to provide updates on this website page and the GBR Facebook Group in the lead up to the event to keep you all fully informed.
Please note that space is very limited in the Club main compound until Wednesday and no road trailers can be left there. BYC expects to construct the remote compound ready for Monday morning. There may still be trawlermens’ cars there.
Entry Fees & Registration
The entry fee for this year’s event is £135. Details of how to enter and register your place can be found in the latest Notice of Race (NoR) document at the end of this page.
To enter this event, please visit the registration page here. – Event Entry is now closed
Please note that entries are currently limited to 52 boats (allowing BYC to host the event in accordance with government and RYA guidelines relating to Covid-19). As such, we will be adopting a ‘first come, first served’. In the event of over subscription, we will implement a waiting list (should the limitation be relaxed, or if there are cancellations). This will be communicated by email as places become available.
Please also note that you must be a member of the class association to enter the event. If you have yet to subscribe to class membership, please make a separate payment of £34 (for annual membership) upon registering your place. Entry will be confirmed (by email) only once your entry fee and membership (if applicable) have been received.
Find out more about class membership and benefits here.
In the Event of Cancellation – COVID-19
In the event of a cancellation related to changes in COVID-19 preventing the event going ahead, refunds will be provided minus 20% to cover costs incurred. In the event a competitor chooses to cancel, refunds will be discretionary.
