MEET THE Musto brand ambassadorS
In 2022, we launched a Brand Ambassador Programme in partnership with our Title Class Sponsor, Musto. Each season, we select active sailors in our UK, European and Australian fleets to represent the Musto brand and the class. Collectively, they help to support others by sharing their sailing knowledge, as well as experiencing the latest Musto dinghy kit in a range of conditions.
We aim to engage new Brand Ambassadors each season, so if you’re interested to join the programme or nominate another Musto Skiff sailor, contact us at comms@mustoskiff.com

UK BRAND AMBASSADOR
2025 Season

After several seasons in the Musto Skiff class, British sailor Eddie Bridle has been making his mark in both the UK and international circuits. During the 2025 season, Eddie won the Musto Skiff European Championship title in Germany, and then backed this up with another win in the 2025 Musto Skiff UK National Championship only a few months later.
A talented sailor with accolades gathered across many boat classes, Eddie is also a well-liked and approachable member of the UK fleet, making him a popular choice for the 2025 Brand Ambassador role.

AUS BRAND AMBASSADOR
2025 Season

Swiss class sailor Alex Greil was a popular choice for the 2025 Brand Ambassador role to represent our European fleets outside the UK. He is active in both the international and regional circuits, and he is very well established in the class, having sailed at every Musto Skiff Worlds since 2013.
Alex has given a lot back to the class over the years. He organises the popular Lake Como training event for skiffs, which is now a much anticipated annual event for Musto Skiff sailors. Alex has also been highly proactive supporting youth and female sailors interested in the class by facilitating small mainsail X demos in Germany and Switzerland, resulting in new members joining the class and events.

AUS BRAND AMBASSADOR
2025 Season

After stepping into the Australian Class President role for the upcoming 2026 season, Jono Neate was chosen to be the 2025 Brand Ambassador to represent Musto and the Australia class fleets.
Jono is a skilled sailor and a former Musto Skiff AUS National Champion, and he is now focused on setting up a fantastic AUS Nationals for the class in early 2026. Having been part of the class for many years, Jono is keen to give back and support the class by helping existing and new Musto Skiff sailors in Australia.

AUS BRAND AMBASSADOR
2024 Season

French-native sailor, Matthias Houvenagel, who resides in Australia as his permanent home, was selected to represent the Musto Skiff class in Australia for the 2024 Season. Matthias has a World title under his belt, having won the ACO 12th Musto Skiff World Championships 2023.
As well as several podium places during each season and an impressive talent for sailing, his positivity and enthusiasm for sailing the Musto Skiff made him a popular choice for the 2024 Brand Ambassador role.

UK BRAND AMBASSADOR
2024 Season

GBR sailor Bill Maughan was selected to represent the Musto Skiff class in the UK for the 2023 Season. Bill is a UK Nationals Champion in the class, and also took the final podium place at the 2023 Worlds.
He has been showing some rapid pace and impressive boat handling over the last few seasons, making him a great choice for the 2024 Brand Ambassador role. Always very approachable and willing to help others in the class, Bill also held the GBR Chairman role over this season and is a proactive member of the UK fleet, arranging training sessions and leading the project for the new Musto Skiff training videos.

AUS BRAND AMBASSADOR
2023 Season

Hayden Brown is a skilled youth sailor based at Blairgowrie YS and Sandringham YC, and was nominated by the AUS class committee for the 2023 Brand Ambassador role to represent Australia.
As well as sailing the Musto Skiff, Hayden brings a lot of sailing knowledge to the class, having experienced several boats including a Minnow, a 29er, and a 49er. He has also competed on the Australian match racing circuit, and currently sails on keel boats at club level. After moving over to the Musto Skiff, Hayden is keen to promote the more relaxed and enjoyable class culture of the Musto Skiff to attract more youth sailors and grow the fleet in Australia.

2023 Season

British youth sailor Rob Richardson was chosen to represent the Musto Skiff class in the UK for the 2023 Season. A talented youth sailor in his own right, Rob has also been teaming up with Musto Skiff sailors, Peter Greenhalgh and Andy Tarboton, as training partners ahead of this season’s regattas. Rob will no doubt be a regular on the podium and winning some Championship titles for many years to come.
His enthusiasm for sailing, his approachable nature, and his willingness to help others and share his learnings make him an ideal Brand Ambassador for Musto and the class this season.

UK & International BRAND AMBASSADOR
2022 Season

A well established and respected sailor in the GBR class circuits, South African born sailor Andy Tarboton was selected to launch the Brand Ambassador programme and represent the Musto Skiff class in the UK and internationally for the 2022 Season.
Having held the role of International Chairman since 2017, Andy has been a key driver in moving the class forward and growing the fleets across the globe. He firmly believes that sailing should be as inclusive as possible, and has been a keen supporter of the small mainsail as a pathway to enable a wider demographic of sailors and those who find the boat more challenging to enter the class. As a force for positive change, a regular on the podium, and an active sailor in the Musto Skiff circuit for many years, Andy was the ideal Brand Ambassador to launch the programme with Class Title Sponsor, Musto.
