Report: 2020 Derwent Skiff & 29er Open

Class Update: Discussions on mainsail design
A couple of years ago, the class voted to explore a new mainsail design. A test sail was made and trialed. This sail was not considered to be a sufficient advance to warrant further consideration. The class voted to ‘pause’ the project and it was put on hold. The project will reopen in February 2021.
Iver Ahlmann on Sailing to Win at Kieler Woche 2020
Already a multiple German Open winner and previous Kieler Woche winner, Germany’s Iver Ahlmann, did not disappoint this year at Kieler Woche, achieving 7 first place positions to ultimately win the MUSTO Skiff event title. Australian Class Cautiously Optimistic for the New Sailing Season
We hope this Australian update finds all fellow MUSTO sailors around the world safe and well. Since the last update in June, the COVID-19 outlook has been more optimistic for much of Australia, except for those in the state of Victoria, where unfortunately high-level restrictions are still in place.
