What got you into the MUSTO Skiff class?
An article about the launch of the MUSTO Skiff in Yachts & Yachting which I read when I was at school back in 1999. It took me 8 years to save up and get one.
What have you sailed previously?
Optimist, Europe and 29er
How old, tall and heavy are you?
30 years, 178cm and 65kg
How much training did you do in the MUSTO Skiff in the year prior to the champioship win?
One or two days a week, more nearer the event.
Did you do any specific training exercises to improve your boatspeed & handling?
Short course training to improve boat handling and fitness.
What were your rig settings (Rake, tensions (shroud & lowers) spreaders (length & deflection))?
Rake: 7220mm
Shroud/Lowers: 28/8
Spreader length: 380mm
Spreader Deflection: 120mm
What did it feel like to lift the trophy at the prize giving?
I was rather chuffed, it was my biggest sailing achievement by far.
