Event & Date: Breizhskiff Lac de Joux 2021, 11th & 12th September 2021
Report by Alexandre Emanuel
This year’s Breizhskiff Lac de Joux 2021 welcomed a wide range of boats for two days of sailing over the 11/12 September. A total of 32 boats were registered, with 29 turning up to race for the actual event weekend. A real success for the Suisse-romande and France Rhone-Alpes skiff promotion!
Two Musto Skiffs took part in the event, each representing the French and Swiss class for this new multi-series event, created in 2020 for the first edition in Swizerland.
A special mention has to go to Juliette Troncquet, who only bought her ESP 604 in Mallorca during July, but came to the event to race! She has had a very quick progression in the Musto Skiff, and showed her skills at the event, finishing in 9th position overall. She was also the first Musto Skiff over the line after the final day of racing concluded the positions.
We had a Covid Crisis ‘bear away´, but we are now starting to return to sailing and regular sports activities locally, which is great for the region and the class.
The next regional event will be ArmisSkiff Regatta at the end of the season in Sanguinet, near to Bordeaux Atlantic west coast great lake. The regatta dates are 29/30/31 October, and then return home for bank holiday on Monday 1st November.
We hope to see you there!
