What got you into the MUSTO Skiff class?
I’d sailed contenders before and was burnt out and a little bored with them, the mustoskiff seemed the right step to take next.

What have you sailed previously?
International contenders, I-14s, 505s

How old, tall and heavy are you?
6′ 1″ 83 kgs

How much training did you do in the MUSTO Skiff in the year prior to the championship win?
A fair bit, both days on the weekends plus evenings during the week.

Did you do any specific training exercises to improve your boatspeed & handling?
The usual stuff, 2 boat tuning, loads of tacks, gybes, start line holding, etc.

What were your rig settings (Rake, tensions (shroud & lowers) spreaders (length & deflection))?
Same as the website settings but a little more rake – 7215.

What did it feel like to lift the trophy at the prize giving?
Great – especially because of the quality of the fleet here in Australia.

Do you have any sponsors?
None

What other hobbies do you have?
Futsal

Are you married / have any kids?
Not married, one child

What is your favourite band/music?
Underworld, Massive Attack, Moby

What’s your favourite food?
Everything except seafood…

What is your day job?
Architect in my own business.
