Event: Lymington Dinghy Regatta, hosted by Royal Lymington Yacht Club (RLymYC) and Lymington Town Sailing Club (LTSC) over 1 – 2 Jun 2024
Results Summary by IMSCA
The first weekend of June saw the Musto Skiff fleet head to the annual Lymington Dinghy Regatta, which is run jointly by Royal Lymington Yacht Club (RLymYC) and Lymington Town Sailing Club (LTSC).
The weekend regatta included two days of racing in the Solent and was part of the UK Southern Circuit. There has always been a good number of Musto Skiff sailors taking part, however, this year, just three Musto Skiffs represented the UK fleet. None-the-less, this made for some fun racing with Nathan Stanier, Mark Cooper, and Nigel Walbank battling it out to determine the overall podium places for the Musto Skiff class.
After six races, Nathan finished in 1st place overall for the Musto Skiff class, with an impressive result, winning 5 out of the 6 races. Mark Cooper took the other 1st place from Nathan in race 3 and finished in 2nd place, and Nigel finished in 3rd.
Thanks to Royal Lymington Yacht Club (RLymYC) and Lymington Town Sailing Club and all their volunteers for putting on a great mixed class event.
