Event: Breizhskiff Lac de Joux 2023, hosted at Club Nautique Vallée de Joux in conjunction with SWISS SAILING, 9/10 September
Report by Alexandre Emanuel / FRA 604
10 boats came together to compete in the Trophée Breizhskiff over the weekend of 9th and 10th September. This skiff multi-series event was first established in 2019 and takes place at the pretty location of Lac de Joux, which is one of three Swiss lakes in the Vallée de Joux.
For this year’s event, Stéphane Valdemarin (SUI 454) and Frederic Meylan (SUI 517) travelled to Vallée de Joux to represent the Musto Skiff class. Other classes included the 49erFX, RS500, RS700, RS800, and Contender.
The weekend had light wind conditions, but the conditions still allowed for 8 races with fierce competition across the mixed fleet during two days of racing. Final places for the Musto Skiffs saw Stéphane Valdemarin (SUI 454) finishing in 7th place, and Frederic Meylan (SUI 517) finishing in 8th place.

We hope for more wind for the next edition in Lac de Joux. Overall, it was a nice event, with nice sailors, and a nice race committee.
See you all next year!
