GBR class update
There is just one more event to go in the Musto Skiff UK circuit with the upcoming Itchenor Firecraker Open in early November. However, there’s no need to pack up your boat for the winter just yet. It’s time to dig out your thermal wetsuits and extra layers and keep on sailing through the winter, as the 2023/24 Seldén SailJuice Winter Series is about to start, and entry is now open!
The 7-event series, which is based around the UK’s biggest winter handicap events, will launch with the Fernhurst Books Draycote Dash at Draycote Water Sailing Club on 18 – 19 November 2023. The final event in the series will be the infamous Oxford Blue at Oxford Sailing Club on 17 February 2024, with the prizegiving set to take place at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show in Farnborough on 24 February 2024.
Whilst this series is not part of our UK circuit, it’s a great opportunity to keep sailing over the winter months, and it always attracts a good number of Musto Skiffs, mainly from our Southern Circuit, but also from our Northern and Scottish circuit too.

- Prizegiving at RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show, Farnborough – 24 February 2024

Online entry is now open, and the event organisers are also holding a prize draw incentive to encourage more sailors to sign up early: ‘Enter four or more events before the Draycote Dash (18 Nov) and you could win a Selden Goodie Bag, full of some great kit.
