Byline by Jamie Hilton, International MUSTO Skiff Class Association Treasurer
Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who has paid their class membership fees for 2020 and supported the MUSTO Skiff class this year.
Whilst we are fortunate to benefit from the continued support of our fantastic class sponsors, the class membership fees go a long way in supporting the running of our class – especially at a local level.
Whilst the majority of us have had to put a halt to our sailing for a large proportion of this year, the local class committees have continued to operate behind the scenes, working hard to plan and revise event schedules and keep you all informed and engaged in class activities. The international committee has also been working hard to revise international events, keep our class sponsors engaged, and do their utmost to build and maintain the fantastic community for which they serve – you. So again, thanks!
We also recognise that not everyone will have paid their fees this year given the situation the world has found itself in, but we ask you to kindly continue to support your class if you can.
In return, we collectively promise to try and deliver on the objectives (a reminder at the end of this note) set out by the International Class Association committee, and to afford you the benefits of class membership, which includes the following:
- Dedicated committees to run, plan and support events for you – both local and international
- Entry to MUSTO Skiff events (for which class membership is a requirement) and the provision of sponsor led prizes and trophies
- Access to organised class training events and coaching support
- A 20% member’s discount with our long-time class sponsor, MUSTO
- The opportunity to have a say in how the class develops and take part in the class AGM
- Improving your MUSTO Skiff owner experience through delivery of the class objectives
Not yet a member? To join the class, please follow the link on the website: http://mustoskiff.com/class-association-pages/class-association-benefits.htm and/or email me directly at mpsclasstreasurerREMOVE@REMOVEgmail.com.
Cheers for now and happy sailing,
Jamie Hilton
