2017 Worlds: Pre-Worlds Regatta

Day four of the ACO MUSTO Skiff World Championships dawned with heavy rain and calm sea. The competitors were keen to catch up with the programme but at 11am the weather didn’t want to play so the race officer postponed the start.
With no racing on day three of the ACO MUSTO Skiff World Championships due to no wind, Andy Rice took the opportunity to interview Wayne Bates (AUS).
Day 2 at the ACO MUSTO Skiff World Championships dawned with little wind and plenty of sun. This led to a postponement by the race team which allowed the class to host a skippers meeting.
Day 1 of the World Championships started with a 10am briefing and a postponement to allow the breeze to build and settle. At 11am the postponement was dropped and the fleet set out to begin racing.
Day 2 of the Pre-worlds started well before the race time with a training briefing for the worlds first timers with coach Rus Clark who's presence at the regatta has been sponsored by ACO.
Following a short postponement Jérome Nutte the event principal race officer sent the fleet out onto the Bay of Quiberon for races 1 and 2 of the ACO MUSTO Skiff Pre-World Championships. Conditions were light with just enough wind to wire at times.
