Winds gusting up to 30 knots meant no racing for day one of the ACO MUSTO Skiff World Championship in Blairgowrie, Australia. At least, not grown-up racing.

2018 Pre-Worlds Day 1: Arthur Brett steered Uncle Bob just ahead of Jamie Hilton’s Tyson at the finish of the final race to win the ACO MUSTO Skiff Australian Championship by a hair’s breadth.
2018 Pre-Worlds Day 2: Brett Morris shocked even himself by winning the opening race of the ACO MUSTO Skiff Australian Championship on an extremely hot and sunny Saturday afternoon at Blairgowrie.
The final day of the championships dawned with battles to be done for all the key titles. Congratulations to Frithjof Schwerdt who is the new World Champion.
Every day in Palma is better than before so we are expecting a lot of tomorrow; but for now we focus on today. Today the sea breeze put in its best performance so far with great 14- 18 knot breeze and a good wave pattern giving the boats plenty of opportunities to leap down wind.
Another great day in the Bay of Palma with brilliant sunshine 10 - 16 knots of sea breeze and 3 slick races run by the Club Nautic S'Arenal. The sailors are now at the beach bar re-fueling with water, energy drinks, pasta and fruit replacing the calories burnt up on the race course today..
The fleet arrived at Club Nautic S'Arenal to clear sunny skies and 25 degrees on the Bay of Palma and the beginning of a sea breeze pushing back the clouds over the land.
'It is REALLY not normally like this here' ... a phrase frequently uttered at a World Championships and so it has proven on day two here at Club Nàutic S’Arenal. There was a short postponement and then as the postponement flag came down so did the rain with such enthusiasm that the English and German competitors really started to think they were at home.
