Class Update by David Annan
Dear Sailors,
Thanks to everyone who has been a class member in 2024. It has been another busy year for the class, and we hope you have enjoyed taking part in both your local events and the wider class activities. The World Championships in Weymouth & Portland was certainly the highlight for me!
With 2025 rapidly approaching, we are about to enter a new membership year, which means class membership fees for 2025 are now due. Being a class member has many benefits ranging from organised open meetings and championships to a 20% discount with our class sponsor, Musto. Full details of the benefits of being a member are on the class website here.
Please remember that to participate in our organised events, you need to be a member. To be eligible for class benefits and to vote on class matters, you also need to be a member. Membership runs from 1st January through to 31st December each year. If you pay after 1st October, your membership will cover you up to 31st December the following year. For all those travelling to Sydney for the 2025 World Championships, this means you need to renew your membership now to be eligible to participate!
How to Join the Class and Pay Membership Fees:
To streamline and simplify the administration of class membership, we use an online software platform called WebCollect. Many of you will be familiar with WebCollect because many sailing clubs and other class associations also use it.
- If you are a sailor in the UK (GBR), Spain (ESP), or a country without a local class association, please go to our WebCollect page here to join the class association and pay your member fees for 2024.
IMPORTANT – If you currently have a standing order or a recurring PayPal payment set-up, please cancel it now and use WebCollect instead. If you don’t cancel it, you may end up paying twice!
- If you are a sailor in Australia (AUS), Germany (GER), or Switzerland (SUI) please continue to follow the membership fee payment process of your local association. More details on how to join the class and become a member are on the website here.
If you have any questions about WebCollect or the class membership, please contact me at membershipREMOVE@REMOVEmustoskiff.com
There are lots of exciting things planned for 2025 and beyond, so get the membership admin out of the way now!
Happy Sailing
David
