The ACO 11th Musto Skiff World Championship 2022 as part of Kiel Week 2022 will be hosted by Kieler Yacht-Club at the Olympic Sailing Centre, Kiel – Schilksee.

Notice of Race (NOR)
The NoR and registration is now available via the event website at www.kieler-woche.de/
Sailing Instructions (SIs)
The official notice board is located on the event website. The sailing instructions will be available closer to the event (from June 2022) on the Kiel Week event website.
ENTRY FEES & REGISTRATION
Entry Fees
The entry fee for the ACO 11th MUSTO Skiff World Championship 2022 is:
- For entries received and paid on or before 1st May 2022 – €400
- For entries received and paid from 2nd May to 1st June 2022 – €450
- For entries received and paid from 2nd June to 12th June 2022 – €500
Included in Entry Fee (provisional – subject to addition):
- At least 1 x ticket to each of the principal events listed in section 5.2.3 of the NOR.*
- Food will also be provided to all entrants at the end of each day’s racing.
- All event entrants will also receive one Musto branded t-shirt.
- A deposit of 5.00 EUR for the RFID safety wristband is also included in the entry fee. The deposit will be refunded on return.
- The entry fee covers the berthing fee for 19 to 26 June only. (see 5.3 of the NOR)
Entry payment can be made by completing the on-line entry form at the point of registration.
Please refer to the NOR (section 5.4) for details on requested refunds, as well as cancellation, should the event be cancelled due to changes with the Covid-19 situation.
*Additional social event tickets can be purchased via Kiel Week. Details will be announced soon.
How to Register
NOTE:
- The event is open to all boats of the Musto Skiff class.
- Competitors shall be a current member of the IMSCA.
- Eligible boats may enter no later than 12 June 2022 by registering online at the event website and paying the entry fee.
- The minimum number of entries is 40. The organising authority may cancel the event if the minimum number of entries has not been reached by 1 June 2022.

Prize Giving Ceremonies
In addition to trophies, prizes will be provided by long-term Title Sponsor of the class, Musto, with prize giving ceremonies planned for both the Pre-Worlds – on 21st June 2022 – and the Worlds, at the close of the event, on 26th June 2022.
Musto will provide several prizes from their extensive range of cutting-edge performance apparel and dinghy kit, and there will be plenty of opportunities to win a prize with several categories planned for the regatta, including Overall Winners, Silver, Youth, Master, Grand Master, and Legend.*

INSURANCE
Refer to the NOR (section 18) for information on required boat insurance for all entrants.
In addition, we recommend that all entrants arrange suitable travel insurance.
BOAT ARRANGEMENTS
The International committee is on hand to provide extra support to assist those further afield that may require help with getting access to boats to commit to this event. EVENT TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Due to the current uncertainties resulting from Brexit, it is not currently known whether Ovington’s will have a van with certain spares. Competitors are advised to make their own arrangements. Any updates on event technical support closer to the event will be announced here and on the International Facebook page and group.

The Covid-19 pandemic remains an on-going situation. Vaccination and quarantine requirements may differ for each country and may also change at any time. Please continue to stay aware of any updates to legal requirements and advice to be followed at a country and regional level. This may be relevant prior to, during, and after the event period for both your own country and the event host country (Germany).

In addition to the organised events for the class, Kiel Week will have a range of entertainment happening during the regatta, including Live-Bands, Acoustic-Dous, DJs and artists creating a colourful, lively nightlife with a vibrant ambiance for sailors and visitors.

GETTING THERE - TRAVEL OPTIONS
Most of you in the UK and Europe may choose to drive with your boat to Kiel Week’s location, but if you choose to fly to Germany for the Worlds, the nearest airports to Kieler Yacht-Club are: Kiel, Hamburg, Lübeck and Denmark (Billund and Sonderburg). In addition to hire cars, there is also a very high quality level of public transport (both train and bus) to get you from the airport to the venue.
By Air
If you choose to fly to attend the 2022 Worlds as part of Kiel Week, you will have several airport options to choose from – with the furtherest away airport just 2.5 hours drive to the venue. Recommended airports include:

If you are looking to rent a car for the week, there are many options available online or on arrival at the airport.

- Hamburg Airport to Kieler Yacht-Club: The distance by car from this airport is approximately 100kms / 1 hour 33 minutes.
- Lübeck Airport to Kieler Yacht-Club: The distance by car from this airport is approximately 100kms / 1 hour 23 minutes.

Accommodation Options
Hotels, Apartments & Self-Catering
Typically, the best options are either hotels or self-catering apartments.
Capacity overall in Kiel is 1,905 rooms; with 666 rooms being 4 stars and 695 rooms being 3 stars. There is also a campsite directly next to racing area.
If you use booking.com or airBnB or a similar search platform,please look for Kiel-Schilksee, Strande, Holtenau, Kiel-Nord or Altenholz (close to the event venue). We have been advised by the event hosts to avoid booking accommodation in Laboe. It is only 10 km from Schilksee, but it takes 45 minutes by car/bus.

Camping at Kiel Week
Camping at Kiel Week is a great option to keep costs down. It’s also within walking distance of the venue.
As detailed on the FAQ for Sailors page on the official Kieler Woche website, a camping site for tents and caravans is available north of the Kiel-Schilksee Olympic Sailing Centre.
A reservation in advance is neither possible or necessary! However, the GER committee has arranged an area within the campsite for up to 30 spaces for Musto Skiff class sailors. You can reserve your camping space upfront at no charge, and then pay the camp site directly on arrival. Spaces are on a first come basis.

Things to do at the Event Location
In addition to all the fun and exciting activities happening on-site at Kiel Week, there are lots of great activities for families and visitors attending Kiel Week 2022. This includes:
