Kiel Week is the worlds largest
sailing event with about 4.500 sailors from 50 countries
with 2000 yachts and dingies expected in 2013. They
will compete in the olympic classes in the first half
of the week, in international classes in the second
part of the week and in keelboat classes and yachts
during the whole week. One of the highlights in 2013
will be the debut of the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup
in Kiel.
After the successful first time appearance of the Mustoskiff
class at Kiel Week in 2011 with 25 competitors from
8 countries, the class was invited again for 2013 and
the coming years. About 35 to 40 comepitors are expected
with new sailors including fleets from Norway, Denmark
and Sweden.
Sailing takes place on 11 different course areas, including
one race course with permanent TV-live-coverage, where
Mustoskiffs will carry out some races.
After sailing you can enjoy lots of entertainment with
bars and live music, either in city center of Kiel or
in the harbour of Schilksee.
This event is a great opportunity for the class to show
up at a high level of sailing and to attract other sailors
attention.
Life coverage of Musto Skiffs at Kiel
Week
Ever fancied looking like a pro
on TV?
At Kiel Week 27-30th of June this year
you will have a chance because the organisers are putting
on a race course with full TV coverage. There is rib,
helicopter, GPS tracking coverage, just like you saw
at the Olympics in Weymouth! The images are live broadcasted
on local television, but are also available as streams
online. The course is allocated to a different class
every day and the Musto Skiffs have already been allocated
a slot. Check out this video showing you the Kiel Week
49er Medal Race in 2011.
