from the German Musto Skiff Class Association e.V.
Hi all,
The new season is coming up and how you can take your
many emails is, you have all of the starting line. To
start to the year we would like an overview of some
current issues, where your help is needed and give you
one that will appeal.
Regattas
The previously circulated as a draft last year race
calendar has been further developed so that now all
dates are probably largely in the bag. He can be found

Besides the World Cup in Weymouth, our German Open on
the island of Reichenau / Bodensee this year is due
to its central location in Europe are probably the largest
event with international participation. It takes place
from 29.09 to 02.10.2012. In the background is worked

Second hand market
We are regularly raised on used boats. Unfortunately,
the market is very clear. If your considering to separate
you from your old love, either because it has not left
the shed in recent years, or your thinking about buying
a new one, so we are happy to help you with the sale.

On the class side there are also boats from Switzerland

to customs regulations. Especially in the border area

KV-membership
Currently, the 53 Class Association boat owners in Germany
are known. Of these, 33 are fortunately already a member
of the Class Association. And rising.
There are many people within the KV at national and
international level are you on a voluntary basis. You
maintain the sites, put together the race calendar,
address training and test of sailing opportunities,
plan the major events and serve as a contact. They sacrifice
this much of their leisure time. As elsewhere, are also
at the KV-labor costs. For this reason, we ask all existing
non-members even think about whether you will not support
the further development of our class in the form of
a membership which helps the volunteer makes a little
easier.
In addition to national membership you were automatically
international class member. This has a number of advantages.
You are legitimized in international championships to
participate in appropriate event included participation
in the Eurocup will your rankings and you can buy over
the Class Association at a special rate of Musto clothing.

The membership fee is currently EUR 60 per year. As
decided at the last annual general meeting, is reduced
for those who have applied for an international boat
slip at DSV, this year the membership fee for the application

Associate Membership and International DSV boat slip
The Musto Performance Skiff since 2007 as an international
class at the International Sailing Association Federation
(ISAF) recognized. Unfortunately this is not related
to any voting rights.
In order to give the German interests at international
level expression and to perform official German Championships,
will be sought through the CV a (extraordinary) membership
in the DSV. Other similar classes (eg 29ers, '49) are
already a member of the DSV and enjoy the benefits of
membership of the DSV. A summary of all the advantages
you will find in the appendix.
Our new Class Association was founded in 2010. The DSV
membership we can to "professional" market
place and legs.
Requirement for membership is a one-time registration
of 25 boats within 2 years. An application for registration
is made by the International boat slip for your skiff
in the DSV. In addition, the boat is apparent to you
as an internationally recognized proof of ownership
and helps in the customs process when traveling outside
of Europe.
The cost is EUR 20 per boat slip once. Since the KV
has an interest in the DSV membership was decided at
the last annual general meeting that the membership
dues of those members who have applied for the boat
slip will be reduced in 2012 by the application fees.
Are currently about 15 applications before the DSV.
We ask you therefore, we submit further applications
in the short term, so that we will get past this hurdle
still within the time limit. The appropriate application
form is enclosed with this mail.
As some of you have the applications sent directly to
the DSV, we must make the statement again to take stock
and ask for the direct shipper to send us a short note.
Please mail all applications and information on this
issue either on Thomas Drive (thomas.trieb @ gmail.com)
as the initiator in the KV or send by mail / fax will
be sent to the usual address below and the documents
forwarded to Thomas. Please do not submit applications
directly to the DSV.
Collection of membership fees
Early / mid April, the membership fee is collected from
your account. If your bank account has changed, please
send us an info so we can take this into account.
In the aftermath, we will pay the contributions to the
International Class, you will receive the annual plaques

Sailors newspaper
As agreed at the last annual general meeting, the class
association of the three sailors newspaper subscriptions
(http://www.segler-zeitung.de/) has been completed.
In return, we can now present a monthly announcements,
reports and events in the classroom, the dedicated post
for the class associations established heading in the
newspaper. Now you are asked to submit such reports
promptly in order to make our class in the German sailor
shank attention. Coordination of the contributions of
reasons, please always send to the Board. We pass them
then you.
