EuroCup Final Standings - another excellent season

With 101 entries it is great to see so
many people enjoying their skiff racing against their
friends throughout Europe.
I am beginning to think we should start
a family trophy for the class but I think I know who
I would have my money on…Not only is Roger Oswald our
raining EuroCup champion, but he managed to retain the
title for 2012. However, it was not an easy win, with
Dutch sailor Paul Dijkstra very close behind in 2nd
place and Roger’s team mate Nicolas Duchoud a close
3rd.
It is well worth mentioning the younger
sailors who featured in the top 10 overall, with Marek
Oswald giving his Dad and the other top sailors a hard
time and being rewarded with a very credible 4th overall.
With another younger sailor, Jelmer Kuipers from Netherlands,
rounded out the top 5 overall.
Florian Kemper held off class international
chairman, Iver Ahlmann, to record top German spot but
it was the Swiss who dominated the top 10, with consistent
results and lots of stamps in their passports!
Two of the 2013 EuroCup regattas have
already been published on the Google calendar and we
hope to get the others up as soon as possible.
So if you would like to see a bit of Europe
with your friends and get some skiff racing in as well,
why not get yourselves a trailer and go and have some
fun!!!
